Polystyrene GPPS 1540

Product Description: Polystyrene GPPS 1540 is an easy-flowing crystal polystyrene designed for extrusion and injection applications. In extrusion, it increases extruder output and reduces thermoforming cycle times, especially when mixed with high-impact polystyrene such as HIPS 7240. Due to its high gloss, it is particularly suitable for glossy layers in co-extrusion. In injection molding, GPPS 1540, with its low viscosity at high shear rates, offers good injectability and combines excellent fluidity with a higher softening point.

Applications:

  • Extrusion: Glossy layer in co-extrusion, dilution with high-impact polystyrene
  • Injection: Boxes, office equipment (e.g., filing trays, CD boxes, pen bodies), internal fridge parts, toys, cups
